Key highlights on regulations, policies, and program funding for the transportation professional
California Clean Air Day is Wedneseday October 2, 2024
Up to $1,000 is available to help make California Clean Air Day a success in your community. If your agency or organzation is planning a local event or activity, this grant could help fund those expenses.
To be eligible, the local project must:
Examples of eligible activities include supplies for events (food, tables & chairs, refreshments), marketing expenses, city permit costs, materials for activities (shovels/tools, giveaways, educational materials), etc.
Previous project awards included bike/walk to school day, clean air fairs, indoor air quality education events, youth art contests, tree planting events, community biking/walking tours, no idling campaigns, and open street events.
There is no limit to what can be done as long as your project meets the 4 requirements above, and that your application must include at least two organizations (the lead organization and partners), each falling into a seperate category from the list below:
Category A: City, county, school, or government agency/rep
Category B: Health care provider (public or private)
Category C: Established community organization (inc. Indigenous Tribes)
Category D: Business org (chamber, econ dev agency, etc.) or small business
Category E: Labor union
Your Clean Air Day event must fall within 7 days of Clean Air Day on October 2, 2024.
Applications are due NLT July 26 at 5pm. Awards will be announced in August.

California Clean Air Day is a project of the Coalition for Clean Air.

California LTAP supports local public transportation agencies across the state by providing professional training, technical assistance, knowledge transfer, and worksite best practices and innovations that help them plan, manage, and maintain their roadway infrastructure.
