WORKSHOP: November 20, 2026, 1:00PM - 4:00PM PT
The California Transportation Commission (CTC) is hosting a virtual kick-off workshop to begin developing 2026 guidelines for competitive programs under Senate Bill 1 (SB1).
SB 1, known as the Road Repair & Accountability Act of 2017, increased transportation funding and instituted much-needed reforms in California. SB 1 provided the first significant, stable, and on-going increase in state transportation funding in more than two decades.
This is the first in a series of workshops focused on developing the 2026 (Cycle 5) program guidelines. Workshop materials will be shared in advance on the Commission’s website.

The 13-member California Transportation Commission (CTC) is responsible for programming and allocating funds for the construction of highway, passenger rail, transit and active transportation improvements throughout California.
CTC advises and assists CalSTA and the state legislature in formulating and evaluating policies and plans for California’s transportation programs.
