Every project, seen or unseen, powers the connection between service & the people it supports
National Public Works Week
Each year during the third week of May, the American Public Works Association (APWA) sponsors National Public Works Week (NPWW), a nationwide observance celebrating the professionals who keep our communities moving, safe, and connected.
NPWW recognizes the civic professionals who plan, design, build, manage, and maintain the infrastructure that supports public health and quality of life. This year’s theme, Rooted in Service, Powered by Community, highlights the dedication of public works professionals and the essential role they play in supporting everyday life.
We'd love to see how your community is celebrating the efforts of public workers. By sharing your projects, photos, accomplishments, and upcoming events, we can help spotlight the great work of your dedicated team. Just click Submit for NPWW on the right or send them our way via admin@caltap.org.
As NPWW 2026 approaches, we'll be adding more spotlights and events to this webpage and promoting them to our subscribers, so be sure to check back to keep us updated and to see what's happening around us in California!
Public works professionals are the quiet heroes who keep our communities functioning every single day.
