Key highlights on regulations, policies, and program funding for the transportation professional
WORKSHOP:
The Active Transportation Resource Center (ATRC) is hosting free in-person workshops on Active Transportation Planning & Design at three locations across California.
These all-day workshops introduce active transportation planning and design concepts to planners, engineers, public health practitioners, community-based organizations, and other champions who might have little to no experience.
Throughout the day, attendees will explore tools used to assess and evaluate suitability of transportation infrastructure for use by all types of bicyclists and pedestrians, learn of California’s commitment to support all modes of transportation, and receive an overview of basic pedestrian and bicycle planning and design standards, guidance, and tools.
Workshop Dates & Locations
The Active Transportation Resource Center provides technical assistance, training, and resources to support the development and implementation of active transportation projects, particularly those funded by the Caltrans Active Transportation Program (ATP).
ATRC helps ATP applicants, recipients, and others to increase safe walking and bicycling for all Californians and work towards our state’s mobility, safety, equity, environmental and health goals.
"There can be no doubt that the transportation sector is the most critical sector of our economy."
