Key highlights on regulations, policies, and program funding for the transportation professional
CONFERENCE: December 10, 2025, 9:00AM - 4:30PM PT
The Ohio LTAP is hosting a 1-day conference to bring together transportation planners, design engineers, elected officials and others involved with current or future Roundabouts in their communities.
Roundabouts have grown in popularity across the nation due to their tremendous safety benefits for roadway users. But they're not only a safer type of intersection, they're also efficient in terms of keeping people moving. Even while calming traffic, Roundabouts can reduce delay and queuing when compared to other intersection alternatives.
Presentation Topics Include:
In addition, Hillary Isebrands, FHWA Roundabouts Expert, will deliver a keynote speech.
This conference is ideal for local, state, and federal agency employees, consultants, contractors and others involved in planning, installing, or maintaining of roundabouts.
A roundabout is an intersection with a circular configuration that safely and efficiently moves traffic.
Roundabouts feature channelized, curved approaches that reduce vehicle speed, entry yield control that gives right-of-way to circulating traffic, and provide a counterclockwise flow around a central island that minimizes conflict points.
The net result of lower speeds and reduced conflicts at roundabouts is an environment where crashes that cause injury or fatality are substantially reduced.
