The Alabama Transportation Assistance Program (ALTAP), in partnership with National Local Technical Assistance Program Association (NLTAPA), is hosting, "Managing the Generational Gap", a webinar focused on navigating generational differences in the workplace. This timely sessions explore how generational gaps impact effective communication and cohesive team building, providing strategies to bridge these differences and foster collaboration across all age groups.

Generational differences are ever present in the workplace and can significantly affect how teams function. Breaking down the generations can help understand different perspectives and how people approach their work. This session focuses on highlights of the various generations in the workplace and provide practical tools for effectively bridging the generational gap to create more productive and harmonious work environments.

Whether you're managing a multigenerational team or working to improve cross-generational communication, this webinar offers valuable insights for transportation professionals at all levels. Understanding how different generations approach work, communication styles, and problem-solving can transform workplace dynamics and enhance team performance.

This webinar is led by Carolyn Miller, deputy county manager in Chatham County, North Carolina, with over 25 years of experience instructing in leadership, conflict management, and supervision.

What is NLTAPA?

Formed in 1991, the National Local & Tribal Technical Assistance Program Association is a not-for-profit member organization that represents the 51 LTAP and 6 TTAP Centers operating across the United States and Puerto Rico.

The association’s main objectives are to build awareness about LTAP within the transportation community, assist FHWA with developing program strategies, and build Center capacity to best meet the needs of local agency clients.
