Key highlights on regulations, policies, and program funding for the transportation professional
WEBINAR: March 26, 2026, 9:00AM - 10:00AM PT
USDOT is hosting a free webinar that walks participants through the Safe Streets & Roads for All (SS4A) Grant Recipient Website and how to use the tools to apply for grants. Planning & Demonstration Grants are one of two available grant types under the SS4A program.
Eligible Activities:
The goal of an Action Plan is to develop a holistic, well-defined strategy to prevent roadway fatalities and serious injuries in a locality, Tribal area, or region.
Applicants applying for only planning and demonstration activities must either have an existing Action Plan that meets the Actions Plan requirements outlined in the Self-Certification Eligibility Worksheet or be currently developing an SS4A-funded Action Plan. Applicants currently developing an Action Plan not funded through the SS4A are program are not eligible to receive funding for planning and demonstration grant activities.
Established by the USDOT Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act (IIJA), the Safe Streets & Roads for All (SS4A) competitive grant program provides $5B in grant funding over five years.
SS4A supports DOT's Roadway Safety Strategy and its goal of zero roadway deaths using a Safe System Approach.
"There can be no doubt that the transportation sector is the most critical sector of our economy."
