TRAINING:
On May 27 & 28, 2026, CALTAP hosted a two-day online training detailing the high-level process and procedures for completion of project right of way work.
Presented by the Caltrans Division of Right of Way, this training outlined the state and federal regulations that Local Public Agencies must follow for compliance with Uniform Act 49 CFR Part 24 and 23 CFR Part 710, as required when completing Right of Way activities on projects with federal aid.

Caltrans Division of Right of Way
The Caltrans Division of Right of Way is responsible for real estate and land survey activities for transportation projects, including property acquisition, relocation assistance, and managing property needed for public use.
It provides real estate and survey services, issues Right of Way certifications for federal-aid projects, and provides guidance on these matters to internal divisions and external agencies.
