Innovative Coordinated Access & Mobility Pilot
The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is awarding roughly $12M in competitive grant funding to support transit services for the FY2026 Innovative Coordinated Access & Mobility (ICAM) pilot program.
ICAM provides competitive funding to support innovative projects for transportation-disadvantaged populations that will improve the coordination of mobility and non-emergency medical transportation services.
The ICAM pilot seeks to improve access to public transportation by building partnerships among health, transportation and other service providers.
Eligible Applicants Include:
- State DOTs
- Designated recipients of Section 5310 funds
- Local government authorities that operate a public transportation service
- Private non-profit organizations
- Operators of public transportation
- Private for-profit entities that provide shared-ride on-demand service
Eligible Activities Include:
- Mobility management projects
- Deployment of coordination technology
- Projects that create or increase access to one-call/one-click centers
- Vehicles for shared or coordinated transportation services
About the FTA
The Federal Transit Administration supports transit systems nationwide, including buses, subways, light rail, commuter rail, trolleys and ferries, through funding and technical assistance.
FTA also oversees safety, protecting transit riders and workers, and helps develop the next generation of transit innovation through research.
