Innovative Coordinated Access & Mobility Pilot

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is awarding roughly $12M in competitive grant funding to support transit services for the FY2026 Innovative Coordinated Access & Mobility (ICAM) pilot program.

ICAM provides competitive funding to support innovative projects for transportation-disadvantaged populations that will improve the coordination of mobility and non-emergency medical transportation services.

The ICAM pilot seeks to improve access to public transportation by building partnerships among health, transportation and other service providers.

Eligible Applicants Include:

  • State DOTs
  • Designated recipients of Section 5310 funds
  • Local government authorities that operate a public transportation service
  • Private non-profit organizations
  • Operators of public transportation
  • Private for-profit entities that provide shared-ride on-demand service

Eligible Activities Include:

  • Mobility management projects
  • Deployment of coordination technology
  • Projects that create or increase access to one-call/one-click centers
  • Vehicles for shared or coordinated transportation services
