The National Center for Rural Road Safety (NCRRS) announced the fall schedule for its Road Safety Champion Program (RSCP), a nationally recognized certificate training series designed to build a knowledgeable, safety minded workforce responsible for operating, maintaining, and designing local roads.

"Road Safety Champions" prioritize safety and are motivated to implement safety improvements that reduce fatalities and serious injuries on rural and local roadways. RSCP trainees that complete a series of courses in core and specialized safety topics become eligible to receive an RSCP Certificate ... earning the title of Road Safety Champion!

RSCP is open to all staff from transportation, public health, and law enforcement agencies who have an interest in roadway safety but are not safety experts.

Starting August 18, NCRRS will host its 7 core RSCP modules as well as 4 different pathway programs. Each 2-hour session is free to attend and completion goes towards your requirements to become RSCP-certified. These courses may be taken out-of-turn and completed any time in the future when available.

August 18th – September 29th, 10am-12pm PT

Planning & Engineering (P&E) Modules:
November 3rd – December 15th, 10am-12pm PT

Public Health (PH) Modules:
October 28th – December 16th, 10am-12pm PT

Maintenance & Construction (M&C) Modules:
October 7th – November 10th, 10am-12pm PT

First Responder (FR) Modules:
October 6th – December 8th, 10am-12pm PT
